The Handmaid’s Tale is critically acclaimed drama based on the 1985 dystopian novel by Margaret Atwood. The novel explores themes of women in subjugation and the various means by which they gain individualism and independence.
The Handmaid’s Tale took home awards for Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series, Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series and Outstanding Drama Series.
Elisabeth Moss won the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series award for her role as Offred in Hulu series.
Big Little Lies, one of the critically acclaimed series this season. It won with a Outstanding Supporting Actor win for Alexander Skarsgård, an Outstanding Supporting Actress win for Laura Dern, an Outstanding Lead Actress win for Nicole Kidman.
Big Little Lies is an American dark comedy-drama HBO miniseries created and written by David E. Kelley, based on the novel by Liane Moriarty. The series began filming in January 2016. The miniseries comprises seven episodes, all directed by Jean-Marc Vallée. It premiered on February 19, 2017 and concluded on April 2, 2017.
